Exploring the vibrant, European-themed streets of Phuket Old Town is an experience in itself. The colourful buildings give this part of Phuket so much charm and character. If you’re looking for an equally charming café to stop by while exploring, we know just the place.
We visited Elle Cafe Phuket as we were passing through the Old Town. With ELLE being synonymous with style, we couldn’t resist popping into this intriguing café. Thankfully, it didn’t disappoint.

The café feels like a lovely tribute to the cafés of Paris, with a clean yet modern design throughout. The courtyard seating area at the back feels as though it’s been lifted straight from the pages of a luxury travel magazine, with lush foliage standing out beautifully against the minimalist concrete walls.
The dessert and bakery selection is second to none. With my weakness for a good crème brulée, I couldn’t resist trying the Crème Brulée Croissant while relaxing beneath the gentle breeze of the courtyard fans. It was every bit as indulgent as it sounds.

The prices were very reasonable too, especially if you’re used to paying UK café prices. One of the nice touches is that you can watch the baking process through the open kitchen as the staff prepare the next batch of delicious treats.
The café also sells a selection of ELLE-branded gifts, making it a great place to pick up a stylish souvenir to take home.
We’re glad we spotted this little gem tucked among the many shops lining the busy streets of Phuket Old Town. If you find yourself walking down Thalang Road in the baking Thai heat, be sure to step inside and treat yourself, you won’t regret it!
