Cats, Coffee, and Cobbled Streets: A Málaga Gem

The cobbled streets of Málaga’s Centro Histórico are among the most charming you’ll find in Europe. While it may not cover a huge area, its winding alleyways offer so much to discover. One such discovery was a particularly eye catching feline themed café, delightfully named Gatto Macchiato (Spanish for “Cat Macchiato”… or at least close enough for me!).

While not a huge café, it’s incredibly warm and welcoming. As the owner of two cats myself, I couldn’t resist checking it out. The owner was extremely friendly and more than happy to chat about the café’s theme and décor.

I kept my order simple. With dinner coming up, I opted for a latte, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Even the cutlery had a playful touch, with a spoon designed to look like a cat clinging to the rim of the cup.

A lot of the artwork was wonderfully endearing, packed with furry puns and charming illustrations. It’s surprising just how chic a cat sipping a cup of coffee can look! This was a fantastic little find during a random wander around town. If you’re staying in central Málaga, I would definitely recommend dropping by for a coffee and a smile.
